The Program is governed by by a highly skilled and experienced Board of Directors and led by the founding Executive Director.  In addition to a full time Director, the program employs 2-3 part time paid Administrative staff.  Additional part time trainees are provided by the Senior Employment Program (SEP) through the WCCC.  LAIVC has been a designated training site for the SEP Title V program since early 2002.

The Board of Directors

The Board of Directors governs according to bylaws and program policy and procedure. Policies include anti discrimination and conflict of interest. Board meetings are held a minimum of 8 times per year, and generally on a monthly basis. Committee meetings are held several times per year as needed. Following are the current members of the Board, effective August 2009: The officers all began two year terms, commencing January.

Conflict of Interest

A conflict of interest may exist when the interests or concerns of any Board member, officer, or staff member or said person's immediate family, or any party, group or organization in which said persons holds a position as an employee, officer, director or partner, may be seen as competing with the interests or concerns of the LAIVC Faith in Action program.
Disclosure - Each member of the Advisory Board and staff of LAIVC must disclose in writing to the Board any possible conflict of interest. This disclosure must be updated annually.


Compliance - When such conflict of interest is relevant to a matter requiring action by the Advisory Board, the interested Board member shall bring it to the attention of the Board. The interested Board member will retire from the room in which the Board is meeting and will not participate in any discussion or vote on such matter.
