The LAIVC
Faith in Action program adopted a Support Team model for volunteer
recruitment and supervision in early 2005. Since then, several
dynamic teams have been formed with almost 150 volunteers! The
teams include a team leader and the leadership opportunity includes
specialized training.

* Twenty three churches currently
support the program and many volunteers are recruited from the
churches. Not all elect to have a special team effort, but offer
services on a one-to-one, individual basis. This is part of our
continuing effort to offer optimum flexibility for volunteering.
